It’s funny how vividly I remember some of the video covers I saw at Blockbuster in the Eighties and early Nineties (mainly the ones I never rented). One such memorable movie was Def-Con 4, a poster for which is pictured here. Painted by Angus McKie, this image was originally the cover for a 1976 sci-fi anthology by Sphere Books, and later appeared in the Terran Trade Authority book Spacewreck. Not to be confused with any of the thousands of other paintings of skulls inside space helmets.
